Measuring the Impact of EFL clubs in the Community: Insight and Impact Report 2020
This was the first comprehensive review of the impact of professional football clubs and CCOs on their local communities. It was a detailed evaluation of programmes and activities delivered to address a wide range of social issues, including diversity and inclusion, education, health and wellbeing. A raft of geographic, socio-economic and household data was applied to findings to deliver results that were credible, insightful and replicable and the 93% survey response rate ensured robust, comprehensive data. Based upon a three-stage methodology it applied common measures to each club/CCO thus creating a clear national picture underpinned by robust data. Over the applicable 12-month period, EFL clubs/CCOs delivered some 562,000 hours of group activity, involved more than 886,000 people, and spent over £62.8 million on social and community projects. KKP produced national and individual club reports which confirmed the scale, human resources and time deployed in programmes.
