It supports evidence base construction, issue visualisation and scenario testing across a range of assignment disciplines. Data processing, analysis and database development
KKP has in-house capacity to process high quality data with minimal lead times. Recognised as leading industry specialists our expert team is skilled at getting the most from information gathered translating it into intelligence and presenting it easy to understand formats.
Our services include analysis and interpretation of company-generated and third-party data. Projects delivered include our forensic due diligence analysis of the DCMS ‘Taking Part’ survey, sportscotland national participation data, Sport England’s Active People and Active Places. We enable clients to gain fast track access to insight where internal resources, expertise or time are restricted.
Database creation, particularly related to facilities planning, underpins detailed analysis and provides clients with update-able tools to enable them to keep their management information up to date. KKP is building one the largest aggregated PPS datasets in the country and will, increasingly be able to offer national benchmarking and related comparison processes.
Geographic information systems (GIS)
Excellent GIS Unit, contemporary systems and software enable KKP’s team to offer integrated and stand-alone services to clients. It is integral to our planning work where mapping facilitates understanding and interpretation of data – allowing clients to benefit from GIS expertise without the need for investment in software, data and training.
Our experts use and apply industry leading software packages via both desktop and online solutions offering both proprietary and open-source software and support packages. Primary mapping is delivered in MapInfo and we have expertise in Esri-based solutions and the application of open source technologies including MapServer, GeoServer, PostGIS, OpenLayers, MySQL, Tableau and E-spatial.
These are used to provide pictorial and interactive maps to, for example:
- Illustrate Census and Index of Deprivation data by local authority, ward, super output and right down to output areas
- Model walk and drive-time catchment maps varied by transport mode, key barriers, times of day
- Assess surplus/deficiency in open space provision by radial and/or travel-time catchment
- Deliver gravity model mapping
- Evaluate market scale, demographics and penetration for sports venues/visitor attractions
- Undertake in-depth analysis of lifestyle and consumer intelligence from Mosaic/Mintel
Training and support
As part of our wider planning, database development and relate services, KKP has been delivering flexible, bespoke training and support solutions to clients for many years. We work with clients to provide post project completion database usage training and provide a bespoke client-facing flexible approach to training and support.
