Project: Strategic intervention and business planning
We delivered a major an assignment to revise the vision and strategic objectives of Glasgow Life to better encapsulate and make for distinctive its commercial and social mission. This involved forensic financial and operational analysis and consultation-based review, facilitation of a wide range of collaboratively challenging focus groups and workshops and engineering a process of ‘deconstructing’ and rebuilding Glasgow Life’s vision, strategy and business processes.
Supporting implementation encompassed extensive in-depth consultation plus leading negotiation/consultation with the Glasgow Life Board, the City Council CEO and elected members, staff at all levels, client groups, public health and community representatives. The outcome is a strategically clear, substantially more business-like body in the context of both commercial focus and delivery of social outcomes, underpinned by a much clearer strategic vision, dramatically improved business processes and financial position and measurable key outcomes.
