In this process, we analysed the quantity, quality, and accessibility of play facilities across the district role and their significance as local or destination sites serving key communities.
Covering all provision the work included an audit, applying agreed criteria, to establish an up to date site numbers plus a detailed assessment of quality, value and ownership. Consultation with key Council officers, parish councils and other providers verified findings and helped to determine aspirations for future investment and inform strategic recommendations in respect of future need, direction and developer contributions requirements linked to future housing growth.
