FA National Facilities Strategy – local football facilities plans (LFFPs)

Client: The FA

Project: FA National Facilities Strategy – local football facility plans (LFFPs)

Commissioned by a consortium including the FA, DCMS, the Premier League, Sport England and the Football Foundation, over a 2.5 year period, KKP produced detailed LFFPs for all 318 local authorities in England. In so doing we consulted and worked closely with UK Government departments, national agencies in education, sport, construction and professional football administration plus local authorities, county FAs, a wide range of major clubs, local sport/community agencies, schools and other stakeholders. The process involved evaluation of the present quantity, quality, value, reach and current levels of access to existing provision and the creation of individual 10-year local authority area-based capital investment action plans.

Vitally, it also provided the FA and other national football bodies with a realistic appraisal of the need for capital investment in football facilities which underpinned their successful appeal to the Government for additional investment in the sport. https://footballfoundation.org.uk/local-plans
