KKP supported this development helping the FA secure Sport England capital funding based upon national, regional and local community use of the venue. We delivered this via negotiation with other NGBs, active partnerships, local authority leisure services, local leagues and clubs.
In so doing, we set out how SGP was to be used by the national and local ‘football community’, other sports and local people. Our operational plan illustrated how the various uses would be managed, orchestrated and measured and how the business plan for this ‘stacks up.’. It:
- Detailed specific site availability for national/regional/local football and other sports use.
- Showed how SGP would accommodate national, regional and local sporting use.
- Demonstrated how it would fulfil its role as the national centre of excellence for coach education/training.
- Supported development of site business plan, management models and future innovations.
- Ensured that the FA maximised its Sport England capital grant funding.
